Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body, to add gentle volume and refine the shape of the lips. It can restore fullness that has softened over time, improve balance and symmetry, and define the lip border, all while keeping movement natural.

The process

What to expect

  1. Consultation

    We discuss your goals, take a medical history, assess your lips and agree a realistic, natural looking plan.

  2. Prepare and numb

    The area is cleansed and a numbing cream, and filler containing anaesthetic, keep you comfortable.

  3. Careful placement

    Filler is placed precisely and built gradually, checking shape and balance as we go.

  4. Review and settle

    We review the result together. Any swelling settles over the following days to reveal the final shape.

Aftercare

Looking after your lips

  • Expect some swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for a few days. This is normal.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, saunas and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Keep the lips clean and avoid make up on the area for the first day.
  • Do not massage or pick at the lips, and stay hydrated.
  • Contact the clinic straight away if you have any concerns after your treatment.
